The war takes an interesting turn in a world where Yahiko is alive.

1. between now and then
The perfect opening appears when Kaguya breaks Madara’s Susano’o. It's a spur of the moment thing, a fleeting what if, but it’s enough - if he can rearrange the Hiraishin markers, create that opening between now and then, then Yahiko can safely send Tobirama and Madara back to stop Zetsu.

2. bright new past
An accident throws them into a past that doesn't belong to them. Without a world to return to, Yahiko and Kakashi must do whatever they can to stop Zetsu and Kaguya from rising again.

3. At World's End
Something's wrong.
He stares into the mirror he allowed Hashirama to put up after getting fed up with his complaints that Tobirama doesn't refresh before attending clan meetings. He touches the image, hoping it would change, but it doesn't — purple sclera, three circles, six tomoes.
Tobirama stares into the mirror.
The Rinnegan stares back.
