The perfect opening appears when Kaguya breaks Madara’s Susano’o. It's a spur of the moment thing, a fleeting what if, but it’s enough - if he can rearrange the Hiraishin markers, create that opening between now and then, then Yahiko can safely send Tobirama and Madara back to stop Zetsu.

Tadashi is murdered by bloodline thieves. Yura kills herself. Kaito’s body is never found. Akira is killed by a Senju. Izuna died by his hand.
In the middle, Madara is a sensor born in a sensorless clan. Forced to feel the death of his siblings, the same way he felt Kawarama’s and Itama’s, except he had Hashirama and Touka and the other sensors who helped him while Madara had himself and a chakra too big for a small body, a responsibility too huge for a child.
