Summary
Walter Skinner has been kidnapped by the Smoking Man, and tortured for information. The Smoker calls Krycek in for the clean-up, telling him to take his time as a reward for work well done. Krycek has his enemy bound and at his mercy, but there are complications that neither the smoker nor Skinner are unaware of. Decision time for Krycek.

Summary
Backstory: Alex Krycek has been passing information to Mulder. Then Skinner is taken by the smoker and given to Krycek to dispose of afterwards. Instead, Krycek brings him to Mulder and Scully. In order to hide what Krycek has done from the Consortium and therefore lose their source of information, Mulder, Scully and Skinner make it look as though they got the drop on their enemy, worked him over and dropped him off on the smoker's doorstep.
Now, a thoroughly pissed-off Krycek has taken Skinner and plans on taking revenge on all three of them by making Skinner pay the price for what they did to Krycek.
