After the complete destruction of Ios, enemies preyed on Akielos in a weakened state, kidnapping Damianos first, then Laurent. Fynn, Herzog of Kempt and Laurent's childhood crush (whom August asked to marry Laurent before his death), is the only one with knowledge of the underbellies of pirate society, and the kings' only hope of surviving the torments of the sea.
