  Summary

After Raggedstar's death, there is nothing and no one to stop Brokenstar from achieving his bloodthirsty dreams. Hungry for land, hungry for battle, he begins apprenticing kits younger and younger so he can have more warriors to send into battle, leaving death and misery in his wake.

In the midst of this, Darkpaw is apprenticed at just one moon old. Soon, she'll become a pawn in Brokenstar's cruel game, another warrior that he can throw away for the sake of his own ambitions and greed.
