Summary
“I’m an Alpha. A human Alpha?” Stiles asks, again, for clarification. He knows his voice comes out a bit strangled, but out of all the things that could possibly happen to him, being a human in a variety of mythical creatures, becoming their leader was not one of them he had thought of.

Summary
He clenches his fist as he thinks this, as his eyes flash. He’s annoyed, has never had this much trouble with controlling anything, not even his mouth or his anxiety, and it sucks, makes him feel a bit like he’s backed up a few years, no control of his own body again. He hates this feeling of no control, it reminds him too much of being possessed by something.

Summary
“This probably means that there may be very powerful witch after you,” Cora says, glancing around and eyes landing on Stiles, “The whole pack. It’s our guess that the omega would’ve taken out either Derek or Scott, whoever they encountered first, and probably if Lydia had not taken them out they would’ve gone immediately for Scott.”
“It seems systematic,” Orion continues easily, “Take down the alpha and the entire pack is unstable. A leaderless pack falls apart easily, and nobody can adjust to being alpha that quickly. This is not the first time some of those in our pack have seen this type of behavior.”
“And without an organized pack, attacks are easier and entire packs can be broken swiftly. Normally, alphas are hard to take down when they have packs, especially big and strong ones. Which is why the rest of the pack is gone after first in usual cases. But with the spell, with the magic, taking out an alpha is much easier,” Cora finishes.

Summary
Stiles doesn’t know how long it actually goes on for, just that it feels like hours, tugging and pulling and aching and a sharp pain in his throat and then it just – stops. He can hear a gasp, then two, but his ears, his vision are still not fully functional, his body incredibly worn out, drooping against the desk and utterly exhausted. He hears a grunt, one that sounds exactly like Derek – Derek, yeah, but Stiles can’t do anything, his eyelids drooping as color slowly bleeds back into his eyes, breath evening itself out. Then there’s a “what the hell?” that’s definitely Derek, and Stiles flops his head to the side just as Derek looks down at him and their eyes meet.

Summary
“I know you probably resent me, at least a little bit, right now because I have your alpha powers, but – “ Stiles begins, but Derek stops him with a shake of his head and a touch to his forearm.
“Stiles,” he begins, pausing until Stiles is looking directly at him, “I don’t care. Well,” he shakes his head, “I do, obviously, a bit. But I don’t resent you. I resent that omega, I resent the witch that might be after us, but I don’t resent you. It’s not your fault, not that the omega was able to get to me, not your fault that the spell didn’t work correctly. Do I miss the extra strength, the extra senses, the connectedness to the pack? Of course. But I don’t…you’re a great choice for an alpha, and I recognize that like Fate obviously did. I could never resent you for being a good enough person to become an alpha, even without being a ‘wolf.”Series

Summary
“That’s true,” Argent confirms, “The amount of power in this pack is nothing to be scoffed at, and you are the first Cassius has gone after in over seventy five years. He’s not going to stop just because the Omega is dead. He’s got many other stragglers, Omegas as well as other supernatural loners, at his beck and call. With the amount of power he stands to inherit from this pack if he succeeds in any form,” he pauses, sighs, shakes his head, “He’s not going to stop until he’s succeeded or he’s dead.”

Summary
And Stiles. Previously against the pillar, sitting, is now standing, facing Cassius, eyes glowing deep purple and seeming a hundred times bigger than he is, his own aura dark and teeth bared, stance strikingly similar to a ‘wolf’s.
“Don’t. Fucking. Touch. My pack.” Stiles’ voice booms, filling the cavernous space of the place they’re in.

Summary
“I mean – you just killed something – someone. There are consequences to doing something like that.”
Stiles sighs, rolling his eyes just a little bit.
“I’ve killed things before, Derek. People too. Part of our god damn life, isn’t it?”
Derek is quiet for another minute.
“Yeah. And I’ve learned from many past mistakes that leaving any of you to deal with the aftermath of killing isn’t okay. Killing anything or anyone is traumatic, regardless of how much they may have deserved it or if it was in self-defence or the only option.”

Summary
“Does this – ” Stiles hears Scott start, but that’s when – fuck, when it hits, and Stiles doubles over, cramps running through his entire lower body and he nearly takes a tumble as his body convulses. Over the flames he can see Derek with wide eyes, head slightly tipped toward the sky and looking like he can’t breathe, but that’s all Stiles gets before his vision blurs out. He can feel the energy running through is body like never before, a hundred times worse than it has been and he legitimately feels like he’s being ripped apart, like he’s exploding into a million pieces. A sharp, awful pain rips through his skull, and then he does fall over.
