She pulled out the pins in her hair, preparing to walk the trek to Trevor’s office when the band started playing. The girl’s good, Parker thought offhandedly as she waded through the back of the crowd, pushing her towards the kitchen. Then the chorus kicked in, and a sound flooded Parker’s ears that she never thought she’d hear again.
