Summary
Before the day of Jin Ling's one-month celebration, Wei Wuxian performs a binding ritual in order the guarantee the protection of the Wen Remnants - the life of one for the safety of many, with him as the sacrifice. By the time the news travels to Lan Wangji, it's too late to even perform proper burial rites.
Years have passed since that day, and Lan Wangji is no longer the man he was before.
