Summary
But if he had to give up this life to be able to live a bit more normally, he’d say no in a heartbeat, because he knows he wouldn’t be happier doing anything else. If he has to give up a bit of privacy for this life, he’s more than willing to, because he loves it. He loves the rush of being on a stage in front of thousands of people, loves the fact that most of them can sing along, loves that he gets to perform songs he helped write. It’s been four years, but he still thinks it’s insane that this happens, that he gets to go on tours all over the world with four lads he couldn’t love more, with a crew that he couldn’t love more.

Summary
“Stiles, stop hitting on my deputies and bring me dinner, would you?” The Sheriff sticks his head out of his office then, and Stiles blushes as amusement settle on Derek’s face. He watches as Stiles glares at him with a “shut it”, but Derek just gives him a wink. Stiles trips a little as he starts walking away, but looks back at Derek with wide eyes before smirking again.

Summary
Stiles is forever grateful to Laura Hale for coming to him thirteen months ago with her speech of “I didn’t really want to hire a wedding planner but we tried to plan it ourselves and safe to say nobody in my family can plan the wedding I want, can you?”, because twelve months ago Stiles met Derek Hale for the first time and nine months ago he slept with him for the first time and now they’re at the reception of Laura’s wedding and Derek Hale is about to give him a blowjob in a spare room across the hallway of said reception.

Summary
It was by and far not Stiles’ first time going to an alpha/omega agency. It wasn’t uncommon, actually was very common, for omegas and alphas to go to agencies to be matched up to alphas and omegas for heats and ruts. So after his first heat at sixteen, Stiles had gone to the agency one town over from Beacon Hills (because Beacon Hills, although a lot of things, was not big enough to support an agency of its own) and had gone through his next three heats with Jordan Parrish. Then, he’d gone to a different agency when he’d gone to college, and over the course of the next four years (and eight heats), had three different alpha partners.

The thing is, he is too. More than okay. Because it may not have been what he expected Stiles to say last night, but it’s not like he didn’t want it. He did, he does, he’s been aware of how he feels about Stiles for a long time now, knows that he fell in love with him sometimes over the past year. He just hopes now that Stiles is okay with that, because he has nothing stopping him from saying anything anymore.

Summary
But if there’s anything he’s come to realize over the last five years since he was sixteen, it’s that this life he’s led has, more than anyone or anything else, made him who he is. It’s made him stronger, mentally and physically and emotionally, and now he’s got friends (pack, family) that he loves and who love him, he’s dating one seriously awesome werewolf. Living this life still comes with so much worry, even as things have levelled off quite a bit since they all graduated high school. He still has low-level anxiety whenever he sees Derek’s name on his phone, just in case it’s a call saying how there’s another creature or pack attacking the city, even though most phone calls from Derek have to do with the usual “how was your day” and “love you” and occasionally phone sex. He still has nightmares, though much more infrequently. And, every once in a while, he does have the occasional thought of “my life would be much easier if…”

Summary
The thing is, he keeps doing things like flirting with other girls when they’re out on dates, has dumped her more than a few times only to call within the next couple of days begging for her back, which fuck him. Allison doesn’t know why Lydia keeps going back to him, but she does, and Allison thinks it has to do something with her rather shitty track record of past boyfriends; Lydia’s confident in almost everything she does, she’s brilliant and intelligent and gorgeous and an overall wonderful individual, but when it came to relationships, she loses some of that. Back when they were in high school, she’d dated Jackson, who had been the best of all her boyfriends, but even he had sometimes treated her with less than respect. They’d eventually broken up when Lydia had decided she wasn’t up for playing the role of dull, flutter-brained girlfriend anymore at the beginning of senior year, when it became rather apparent she was going to be valedictorian, and they were good friends now.

Summary
Stiles opened his mouth to say something, but Lydia beat him to it with, “It’s Stiles’ way of getting your attention because he apparently doesn’t know how to just talk to you.”
Derek was a little stunned by that, and “Why would you want to get my attention?” slipped out of his mouth before he knew it.
“Duh. Because he has a crush on you,” Scott offered, and that left Derek even more stunned. He looked at Stiles, who was glaring at Scott, and Stiles spit out a “What are we, twelve?” and all Derek could think of to respond with was, “Well, you’re certainly acting like it.”

Summary
And Derek is fairly health conscious; he eats a lot of red meat but counteracts (or compliments) it with tonnes of vegetables and fruits. So Stiles fully expects to find granola and flax cereals and wheat cereals – which he does. He also finds boxes of sugary cereals, the kinds mostly kids eat, which is completely unexpected to Stiles.
Derek comes in as Stiles is sorting through the cereal – he finds Cinnamon Toast Crunch, which Stiles ate every day for breakfast for nine months when he was ten, no matter what else his dad offered him – and he looks just a little bit embarrassed when he sees what Stiles is doing.

Summary
And – Derek doesn’t know what to say, because he wants nothing more than to give in, but Stiles very much broke his heart last July. He very much broke his heart, and then didn’t bother to even try to maintain an acquaintanceship like they should have, being in the same pack and all, didn’t text or call or message Derek at all for the next few months, didn’t bother to even suggest that maybe he was wrong until now.
But Derek wants so much, and he’s been getting into the habit of not denying himself life’s pleasure.
Stiles is one of his life’s pleasures.

Summary
And, she thinks, he might be at least a little bit with her, still, because she remembers her first love, when she was much younger, on her babysitter, and though it was never requited, she still hasn’t fully gotten over him, either, and figures part of her never will – first love hormones and all that. So maybe Stiles never got over her, either. Except – and goodness, it’s so fucking obvious to everyone but them – Stiles and Derek have something going on that she really doesn’t feel comfortable getting between.

Summary
Four days, and all he can think about is that he can’t lose Lydia, all he can do is think about the fact that he’s lost all the rest of his pack.
He’d seen Erica get her head cut off by hunters before he could say a thing; watched as Allison had her intestines ripped out by faeries two months after they’d graduated high school; had seen Scott’s body when he’d come home for spring break, shredded to bits by a rogue alpha; had been kidnapped along with Isaac and looked on as the hunters cut Isaac apart, limb by limb; been a part of the giant fight against an invading pack six weeks before his graduation from college that had claimed Jackson and Boyd’s lives.
He’d been forced to watch a witch rip apart Derek’s chest and pull out his heart a mere two weeks after their mating ceremony.

Summary
And it’s not like anyone is disappointed, he wouldn’t say that; his family and friends are surprised, but not disappointed. He’s disappointed, though; he’s never really felt like an omega, and now that he is one – he still doesn’t feel like one. But even though before he presented he thought of himself as an alpha – well, he doesn’t feel like that, either. People keep referring to him as an omega and that doesn’t feel right, and he tries to refer to himself (in his head) as an alpha, and that doesn’t feel right, either. He feels suspended, somewhere in between, not fully here nor there, and it’s a feeling that really kind of sucks.

Summary
“Special occasion?” Stiles does sit down, but not before dropping a kiss on Derek’s lips.
“It’s Saturday,” Derek says, and Stiles gives him a look, but he just smiles in return, sitting down also. He picks up his fork but just watches as Stiles bites into the chocolate chip scone, then moans in elation.
“The absolute best,” he says as swallows, and that’s when Derek decides to speak.
“Will you marry me?”
And Stiles, well, Stiles being Stiles, even though Derek specifically made sure to wait until there was nothing in his mouth before asking, ends up choking on – nothing. His eyes widen as he coughs, taking a drink of his coffee. He settles down after a moment, and then lets out an, “Oh, this is awkward.”

Summary
When Lydia turns sixteen, she drugs half the school, including many of her friends, at her birthday party. Which – totally does not make for a great story later. That year, she discovers that things of myth, creatures that shouldn’t exist, that do. As much as both her creative and her scientific side want to embrace this new world, the fact that people left and right are dying makes that hard. Instead, she feels fairly traumatized by all that happens. She comes out of her ditzy girlfriend role, and instead becomes part of something so much bigger than she’s ever been before.

Summary
“Hey,” he hears, and he turns his head to see Derek Hale, sitting there in his Camaro, window rolled down, looking warm and dry and okay, so he and Derek had never really gotten along (Derek, being a basketball star and arrogant and kind of a jerk, sometimes, and Stiles, the bench-warming lacrosse player who was, yeah, sometimes a little spastic), so Stiles didn’t feel too bad about hating him right then, because he was dry and warm. He just stares at Derek.
