I have hidden in my village my treasure, the Golden Apple, and I formally invite you to join in on the hunt. Whoever finds it will inherit my entire fortune with no exceptions.

I hope you are doing well. It has been a long time since we last met. Word of your achievements in the archaeological field has spread even here. I no longer live in L’manburg, but rather a new city that has sprung up in the middle of Foolish Desert – Monte d’Or.
There is a problem plaguing Monte d’Or, and as one of the heads of the city, I cannot ignore the danger it presents. Think of it as the rebirth of the Mask of Chaos. A man wearing a similar mask runs rampant in the city, disturbing the peace with his so-called “dark miracles”.
I’m sure I’ve piqued your curiosity. If you are still interested, I implore you to come down to Monte d’Or and request that you aid us in unravelling the mystery behind this strange happening. Do let me know if you will come.
