A semi-scene from my ongoing longfic, When the Wind Blows. This was originally a standalone oneshot, but now that WTWB is being expanded upon, this portion is no longer fully canon to the fic. I wrote it in early 2020 with no intention of adding any more at the time, but a lot has changed since then. Including my own writing.
It is also technically a spoiler for WTWB, so read at your own risk. I don't have the heart to delete or orphan it, but it is still a story beat—if only the framework of one.
