“So,” Peter said, smiling as he shifted a little in the booth, his jeans audibly moving against the seat material. Harley took the opportunity to sit down, scooting across the seat until he was sitting just about directly in the middle of them. “Harley, this is Ned. Ned, Harley.”
“Hi,” Ned dutifully responded at Peter’s introduction, despite having already introduced himself to Harley.
It was nice of him, Harley supposed, to go along with Peter’s word. Harley didn’t know, okay, it seemed like Ned was the calm to Peter’s perpetually excited state of mind, and… Maybe Harley wanted to be a part of that dynamic too.
