Not Aunt May, he silently begs the universe. Anyone but May.
His Spidey senses tingle (guhhhh, bad tingle! bad tingle!) and he thinks he hears his window opening, but it's hard to hear anything over the rushing in his ears. He zones in just enough to hear the window slam back shut.
The only people who come in through windows are burglars and Deadpool, and Peter's not sure which of those he's hoping it is. He's also absolutely convinced Loki has hidden some sort of outer-dimensional Monkey's Paw in his sock drawer.

Or, the one where the author had Fuck or Die for a bingo prompt, Peter Parker gets a a face full of plant jizz, and Deadpool knows how to show up exactly at the right time.

Summary
"Not. Now. Wade," Spidey grits out; he has the bus stopped at the edge of a very sheer cliff.
It's not like he can go anywhere. The wheels are still spinning in the dirt, kicking up rocks and a dust storm that makes Wade very glad he didn't try to show off his tears. The suicidal bad guy bus driver is very insistent on fulfilling his Final Plan.
"Now is the perfect time!" Wade argues. "What else am I supposed to do while you save these dummies who didn't vett their tour guide? C'mon, that's NYC one-oh-one."
"They're tourists, Wade. They aren't from New York, and we're not even technically in the city," Spidey points out, quite reasonably; OK, Wade will give him that one. "And you could help me here, please."

He gives Wade’s shoulder a squeeze and a shake. “Ok, now try telling me instead of the pillow, Space Cowboy.”
One angry eye peeks out as Wade cranes his neck just far enough to peer past a cushion Peter hadn’t even realized was removable. He’ll have to confirm that later. Sometimes Wade likes to… modify things and forget to mention it. He’s pretty sure normal people who marry other normal, non-mercenaries never have to worry about throwing stars stashed in couch pillows.
“I said,” Wade enunciates petulantly. “Everyone thinks you’re fucking the human zippo.”

Or,Wade is feeling a little homicidally insecure about their relationship. Peter fixes it by doing what he does best.
