Summary
This is just a little tale of Cas in college. He wants to avoid all of the April Fool's Day shenanigans. Dean Winchester was the prank king last year, and Cas is not ready to watch all of that go down again. So, he heads off to the library for some high quality avoidance. It went well until he clicked on the Executive Suite 2016 and then Dean showed up. Destiel AU.

Summary
He is human now, and can't stand the thought of complicating their lives, so Cas moves out to the country where he can be of use. He plants sunflowers, and thinks of the ones that he left behind. He can miss them, him. He is allowed that. In time though, Dean comes to his farm on his way home from a hunt. The sunflowers have bloomed in bright glowing bursts like fire in the fields.

Summary
Dean was not much for poetry or sharing his feelings. Somehow a still quiet place in the bunker made Dean discover just how much something like a love poem spoken by the right person could actually matter.
---
There was space and air and something set in motion as yet unfinished. It was the end of a book, and he was in the final pages. It was a poem with one more blessed stanza. He wanted to slow down and savor it while at the same time he wanted to leap headlong to the last word, the last line, the last all important detail. "I think that you should tell me your poem."

Summary
It was exquisite, a melody that seemed like one person had harnessed the vocalization of all of the best choirs. The entire complement of heavenly hosts could not have provided so glorious a sound. Dean stopped his movements and tipped his head to the side to better listen to the tune. He could not make out the words, but the underlying music sounded somehow familiar.

Summary
He was older now. The lines near his eyes stood out in the mirror as he drove. His hands were still strong and held the steering wheel in a firm grip. And with age came certain realizations. He couldn’t hunt like he once had. He couldn’t assume that he would win every monster fight. He also couldn't assume that he would find peace in the typical ways. Dean had found a little peace in his day to day life, because it wasn’t all just fighting and maybe dying. The peace he had though was a restless kind of peace, the kind of peace that tosses you about at night in a too cold bed.
Maybe it was time to acknowledge that things could be better if he just let Cas get a little closer.
