Summary

Julie shifted so that her chin was on Luke's chest. "What are you thinking about?"
"The operation," he said, twisting a strand of her hair around his finger. "About what will happen afterwards."
Julie leaned into his touch unconsciously, and he smiled as he remembered how she'd done the same thing with Reggie back at Tia's farmhouse. "Are you worried about the recovery time?"
He shrugged, putting his focus into the feeling of her hair around his finger. "A little. Mostly I'm worried about what'll happen after that. You know, since it's a new heart."
Julie frowned, pulling away and sitting up. "What do you mean?"
"You know, the seat of emotion. What happens if I don't love you anymore?"
