Tom Riddle is an orphan. He has no friends. The other kids at the orphanage are scared of him, they think he's a freak. Even at Hogwarts, being surrounded by fellow wizards and witches doesn't help. The Slytherins don't want to associate with somebody that has dirty blood

Harry Potter is also an orphan. He lives with his relatives and has no friends until he meets Ron and Hermione. He also meets Tom on the train and is instantly intrigued. He's determined to be Tom's friend and show him love isn't a weakness.

A series of one shots. Most of the canon info is the same except obviously Tom isn't Voldemort. There will be some similar things I'll keep like Harry being on the quidditch team but many things will be different. Especially 4th year
