Summary
A tragedy shook Kimberly and her family's life years ago. She set out to investigate the disappearance of her little brother after the authorities found nothing. Eventually, she stumbled upon dark secrets that pulled her into the path of BSAA-operatives Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield. Her goal is to find the person responsible for her life going to hell and make them pay. To learn the necessary survival skills for that, she joins the BSAA, learning everything an agent needs to survive the BOWs they may encounter.

Summary
One ordinary day, as they were interviewing a possible new recruit for the B.S.A.A., Chris Redfield receives a phone call from a man that had helped him over a decade ago, when he was hot on the trails of Umbrella. The man insists that a hacker, that hacked into the police's database found redacted files that even the police captain had no knowledge of. These files point to biological experimentation having been done in the city, it's outcome tragic, with many people dead.
Chris and Jill set out to investigate and interrogate the hacker herself, starting their journey and mentor relationship with the hacker, Kimberly, eventually recruiting her into their ranks.
If only they could figure out why Barulmel Pharmaceuticals is so interested in her...
