Their trip is paid for by a very generous client—Dante takes this in place of money, smiling “innocently” (devilishly) and kicking Vergil’s shin as he suggests this alternative. All part of the (impromptu) plan, ever since he’d figured out this guy has cash to spare, the oil baron bastard.
So they’re off for a week in the tropics on a little “restful vacation."
