Summary
“Do you think they’re right?” Jungkook's hand goes running through the soft strands of Taehyung’s dark hair. “That it’s weird that we need each other to sleep. Are we weird?”
“Do you feel weird?” He asks calmly but his heart stops beating.
“Never.” The younger’s voice breaks a little when he pushes himself closer, nuzzles deeply into Taehyung’s neck, and sighs. His hot breath ghosts on Taehyung’s skin, burning him to ashes.
“I feel happy.”

Summary
Jungkook can’t forget how Yoongi told him that sacrificing his life for something as ephemeral as fame and success is pointless because when he’s eighty and on his death bed, the only person who will be there with him is the one he chose to spend his life with. It will be that only soul that was there for him through it all. And that he’s risking losing this soul for something that won’t be worth a dime in the end.
And he can’t fight it anymore. He’s that man on his death bed thinking back to his life, and the only thought in his head is Taehyung.

Taehyung could never look away from Jungkook’s face, eyes always trained on the younger. He can’t look away now. His breath had stopped long ago but he barely notices, doesn’t need oxygen when he has Jungkook’s warm touch breathing life into him with each soft caress against his cheek. His head is heavy with eight sleepless months, painkillers and alcohol, and the all-consuming guilt he feels for being a burden to their members – but his heart suddenly feels light, as if someone had finally lifted the heavy weight he used to carry around in his chest.
Jungkook is looking at him with big starry eyes filled with fear and hope and there is nothing in the world Taehyung wouldn’t sacrifice for him.
