Summary
Ever since the death of the Dragon King, Thunder; Soren's life has grown increasingly harder. The death of King Harrow, His father's increasing strange behavior, the further splintering of his family, the search for the princes, and the strange dreams he keeps having are all taking a heavy toll on the Crownguard. Dark days lie ahead of him.
Luckily, he has his egg to see him through them all. Even when he feels himself drowning, the egg is his light source, reminding him to keep going.

Summary
Soren's mind is lost in a storm after the battle at the Storm Spire. He lost his father, his sister, and a lot of friends and colleagues in the war. He's looked at with fear, suspicion, and hostility from many because who his father is...was. The things that used to bring him comfort now only worsen his grief. He has nothing left except for his duty to Ezran.
As a Crownguard, he is sworn to protect and serve Ezran at all costs. Even himself.Was he using his duty to hide from his grief? Or was he hiding his grief to power through his duty?
But Soren has forgotten that he is not alone. Something has been walking beside him through his darkest days.
The rain almost snuffed their fire, but the embers remained. A new fire has stirred and it is wide awake.

Summary
The consequences of lying, multiple times to multiple people, sneaking off, and throwing himself into a volcano for a magical ritual to hatch a dragon catch up to Soren. And new things about his connection to his dragon are discovered. Luckily, Soren was never raised to be a coward and is more than happy to face them with his new family member on his shoulders.
Now if only he could get his dragon to stop trying to bite everyone else's face off for breathing the same air as Soren, that would be nice.
