Summary
An imp crashed a party and creates lot's of chaos for both Jude and Cardan.
or:
Jude was used to keeping a sharp eye out for any unusual behavior among the crowd. She never could care to let go like Cardan or many of the others during parties like this one. The room was far too crowded and the noises that rang throughout the room buzzed too much to allow any semblance of calm.
Cardan was being good today, still nursing his first glass of wine as he lounged on his throne and listened to a pixie playing a small stringed instrument. His legs were thrown over the armrest and his back leaned over the other side, somehow making him look drunk despite only being one glass deep and far from it.Series

Summary
After a long night Jude and Cardan have a chat on the roof, involving some crying, confessions, and more.
or:
“Cardan,” Jude whispered, despite it only being the two of them up there. She didn’t know why she whispered but it was quite up there, and disturbing the peace felt wrong. She cleared her throat and tried again with little hope. “Cardan,” she said with more force, her voice cracking through the air. Of course, as she had predicted, it did little to wake the king. She then began poking his cheek, “I swear I will drag you off of here by your scrawny tail if you don't get up!” Her voice was now at a normal level and the harsh words seemed to do the trick. They always did, Cardan seemed to have a thing for it.
His eyelids fluttered open and he managed to slur out a pathetic, “Ugh, I don wanna.” His words were jumbled, but from sleep or alcohol, Jude wasn’t sure. He smiled dumbly up at her and Jude couldn't help but glare back at him.
“Ok, that’s it,” Jude said, before rolling him off of her and onto the side of the roof further from the edge. He tumbled to the side and made no further effort to get up.Series
