Maybe that’s unfair. Jim’s not always flapping his gums. Sometimes he’s too unconscious for that. Maybe this is McCoy’s ideal version of him, sitting next to him looking pretty and keeping him company and shutting the hell up for once. Maybe now that the silence is stretching out into time McCoy can’t measure, he doesn’t like it. So he says as much.
