Summary
Sometimes, love doesn’t start at the first sight. Sometimes it sparks with curiosity and a little bit of adventure, weaved between tragic epoch and the courage to face the dark. Then again, what is love if you don’t want to swim deeper and burn brighter? What is love, if it doesn’t set you free? And like all the endings in every romance, amor vincit omnia, or not at all.

Summary
“I’ll be back before you know it,” Caitlyn said reassuringly, after stating her intention to take the fellowship in Athens, which Vi gave her full support. The scarlet-haired girl idly smiled before holding her hand and locking her gaze on her.
“Or we can meet somewhere around,” Vi said, her lips quirked upward, hinting with a suggestion. Caitlyn was intrigued, as she raised her eyebrow.
“Where?”
“Italy,” Vi replied, and Caitlyn was half-smiling, surprised.
“And what are we doing there?” Caitlyn prompted, and Vi hummed, thinking.
“Anything you like, basking in the sun-soaking beaches—" she trailed off before knocking their heads together, hands wrapped on her waist. “Get drunk, dancing—" she murmured against her lips, “And perhaps, making love till the morning comes. Oh, Dionysus would be proud—" Caitlyn chuckled, amazed with her wild suggestion.
“Allora, cosa ne pensate?”And Caitlyn said yes. Looking forward to spending the sweet summer with her girlfriend. She found herself in a beautiful coastal town in Southern Italy only to find her hotel room still immaculately empty, and the girl she longed for was nowhere around.
