Summary
Camp Fish Blood had to be the most ridiculous name for a village of pseudo-mermaids that Nico had ever heard.
It was impressive, don’t get him wrong - the settlement sprawled across an area hidden between a cliff face and a kelp forest, and other sirens were swimming around, every siren’s tail a different colour, even if only differing by a shade or two. They all had the same otherworldly ambiance about them, like Will's.

“Just can’t wait until my teeth have fully grown in.” Nico reached out, tracing Will's lips until Will let Nico slip his fingers inside. Nico pressed the pads of his fingers against the sharp points of Will’s teeth, fixated on the slope and peak of them.
“You like mine?” Will smiled, sweet but always with that hint of glinting teeth that Nico fell for.
“Very much.” Nico ran his knuckle over Will’s gums, then outlined the rows of teeth with the tip of his nail. “Gorgeous.”

Summary
Nico sat on the sand, Will still lying on top of him and clinging to him like a starfish. It made him feel small, but in a good way – like a child in a loved one’s embrace, which… well, Will supposed he was, still. He didn’t feel like a child anymore, not with everything he’d gone through, but technically he was still a youngling.
Will hadn’t told Nico about his family. Nico had spilled his guts to Will about his family, but… Will was a little more secretive with his own problems. Maybe it was general trust issues, maybe it was how deep the trauma had rooted itself inside him, but it wasn’t as easy for Will to open up about the deep scars his parents had left on him – physical and emotional.
