TRIGGER WARNING: Graphic Depictions of a Restrictive Eating Disorder
Jungwon sat at the kitchen counter. His eyes were fixated on the singular chicken nugget resting on the plate in front of him as if taunting him. ‘It’s just a chicken nugget,’ he thought to himself, ‘What is there to be afraid of about a chicken nugget?’
He didn’t want to let himself answer his own question, but the answer slipped into his consciousness anyway. ‘Because of all the calories. It’s barely the size of a quarter of your palm yet it has over 50 calories. It’s fatty, and it’s bad for you. That breading especially. There’s plenty to fear when eating that thing. You’ll get fat.’
He couldn’t even bring himself to pick up the fork sitting next to him. He already felt sick from simply looking at the chicken nugget. How the hell was he going to eat it?(Just me self-projecting onto Jungwon since I relapsed and tried to eat a chicken nugget. It didn’t work out too well :/)

TRIGGER WARNING: Graphic Depictions of a Restriction Eating Disorder
“No, don’t apologize for this, sweetheart,” Jay spoke gently as he ran his fingers through Jungwon’s hair, “You don’t need to apologize if you can’t eat it. I know it’s hard. You’re doing great just as long as you’re trying, alright Wonnie?”
All Jungwon could do was nod as he felt a few tears sting at his eyes again. He’d known he needed this for a long time. It felt like forever since he’d even spoken to the members - outside of work. That little goblin in his mind would constantly tell him:
‘You’re not good enough for them, they don’t want a fatty like you around!’
And he would believe it. What else could he have done? All he’d spent the last four or five months on was listening to the goblin, letting it control his life.
Jungwon knew he could fight it. He had before. Jungwon knew he should have been fighting it all along. Then he realized, this time, he couldn’t fight it all on his own. But that’s what friends are for, right? They take the journeys you can’t do alone right by your side.READ PART ONE FIRST IT’LL MAKE MORE SENSE!

TRIGGER WARNING: Depictions of a Restrictive Eating Disorder
Sunghoon knew what was going on with Jungwon. He’d seen it before, both in other trainees and some others he used to skate with. But just because he’s simply seen it before didn’t mean he knew what to do. Just because he’d seen it before didn’t mean he was any less afraid to make the wrong move. What if Jungwon didn’t want his help? What if he didn’t want help at all?
Sunghoon didn’t want to over-step his bounds by physically doing anything. So he simply watched as Jungwon struggled. He watched with an aching heart as Jungwon ate with them less and less. As Jungwon spent more and more time in the bathroom after meals. As the Jungwon he knew and loved seemed to fade away more and more.READ THE OTHER TWO PARTS FIRST, THIS IS A BRANCH OF PART TWO!

TRIGGER WARNING: Depictions of a Restrictive Eating Disorder
Riki had taken notice of Jungwon’s change of eating and meal-time habits. But he didn’t think much of it. The concept of an eating disorder was foreign to him. He didn’t even know what an eating disorder was. Riki didn’t understand the worried looks his hyungs would throw after Jungwon when they watched him leave to the bathroom. What was so worrying about him needing to use the toilet?

TRIGGER WARNING: depictions of a restrictive eating disorder and mentions of purging as well as a binge eating disorder
Once the words had fallen from Jungwon’s mouth, Sunoo felt a harsh pang of sympathy for the younger. Memories of his own battle with an eating disorder flashed across the forefront of his mind. His struggle had been somewhat different, as he had struggled - and still did sometimes struggle - with binge eating. But he knew how hard it was to crawl out of that pit. Especially once you’ve dug yourself deeper and fallen back in many times before.
Sunoo vowed to always do his best to help Jungwon, and to be by his side as much as possible. He knew the younger male would need it.READ PARTS ONE AND TWO FIRST AS THIS IS A BRANCH OF PART TWO. (It’ll probably make sense with out it, but I just want to make sure lmao)

Summary
TRIGGER WARNING: Graphic Depictions of a Restrictive Eating Disorder, Hospitalization Because of an Eating Disorder, and Purging
Jay had begun to trust Jungwon enough to let him use the bathroom alone. It had been months since the younger had attempted to purge and weeks since he’s even mentioned it. That meant it was no longer a major thought on Jungwon’s mind. Right?
Right?
Wrong.
This can be read on it’s own, but the first two parts of this are the beginnings of this plot. (It’ll give more context to the ‘chicken nuggets’ part of the title and tags)
