Summary
The death of his fellow Inquisitors and the destruction of a Sith temple was not enough to secure the future Ezra seeks in the Rebellion. His pyrrhic success in Malachor space has only led the Rebellion to face a new threat. Mandalorians.
Forced to bow their heads to this new group, the Rebellion finds newer and more dangerous threats at every corner. And while the benefit of having capable spies as allies cannot be understated, having Sabine's mother in the picture makes things a lot more complicated.
And that's ignoring Thrawn and Ezra's previous friendship.
