Summary
Shouto sighs and sits down on the steps, resting a hand on his chin. Tension rests heavy on his shoulders. There’s too much happening lately. The remedial courses are wearing him thin, his father’s been on his case ever since he failed, and it’s just… ugh. It’s all ugh.
The cats watch from afar. They stare, blinking at him. He stares back, blinking at them. Then, for some reason, Shouto tries something new.
“Pspspspsps,” Shouto says.

Summary
Izuku laughs along with everyone else until time seems to slow down around him. The music blends into the background. Ashido and Kaminari’s loud howls sound muffled, almost miles away. The cool night breeze is gentle, and it combs through his hair. The bonfire crackles and glows. The embers bounce off the fire and smoke curls upwards. The sound of crickets and frogs fill the air like music. It’s peaceful.
Izuku turns and looks up to see the moon is full and bright, and stars sprinkle the sky. He inhales the fresh air with a smile on his face. He feels… good. He feels really good.
So… if that’s the case, then why is a lump forming in his throat? Why is his nose starting to burn? Why are his eyes watering?
Some feelings build up during bonfire night. Izuku works through them.Series
