Summary
Tommy would keep poking and prodding if it weren’t for Wilbur coming up behind him and tugging him gently away from the mirror.
“Toms, I still really think you should think about getting rid of this mirror,” Wilbur sounds as wary as ever when he approaches what he calls Tommy’s “issues”. Not that he’s ever called them that to Tommy’s face, but he’s overheard Wilbur talking to his mum asking for advice.
“How can I see my big man gains without it?” Tommy cracks a joke in desperate hopes that he can break the tension stifling the atmosphere around them.

“I just – why couldn’t it be me?” Tommy asks in a small voice. Ranboo looks at him pityingly and wraps his stupidly long arm around him again.
“I know the feeling all too well,” Ranboo replies, and Tommy lets himself be enveloped by Ranboo’s clean linen scent, a sharp contrast to Wilbur’s woodsy cologne.
“Oh, fuck, I didn’t even think about that,” Tommy whispers, and Tommy can see his own pain reflected in Ranboo’s eyes.
