“Oh God,” Merlin groans softly, eyes tracking the hot blond who just entered the pub, “I love being gay.” The man is incredibly fit, tall and muscled, with tousled hair and the most perfect, clean-cut face Merlin has ever seen and God, Merlin wants him.
“No, you don’t,” Gwaine snorts from next to him, wiping Guiness from his upper lip, “that’s Morgana’s older brother Arthur and he’s the straightest man I know.”

Summary
“What are you doing with that kid?” Leon asks, interrupting his perusal of Merlin’s physique. “Are you even gay?”
Arthur turns to face his friends, trying not to feel affronted by the candid question. Leon is one of his oldest mates and Arthur supposes that arriving with Merlin’s hand clutched in his at their weekly pub crawl is reason enough to pose those questions.

Summary
It’s weird, having a boyfriend who’s a grown-up, Merlin thinks. He doesn’t particularly like it when Arthur pays for things for him, but Arthur usually waves it off. Whereas Merlin has to save every penny so he can survive the month on his allowance and the little he makes from restocking shelves at his local Boots, Arthur has a well-paying job. He owns a car and has his own flat, while Merlin still lives on campus in a shared dormitory. He has a side of the bed and prescription reading glasses and he actually pays for his Netflix account. There’s a fucking Weber grill on his balcony and a Vitamix blender in the kitchen.
