Summary
He hadn't expected it to go this way, to cross the border into an entirely new land, only to be caught in an ambush and sent right to the executioner's block. This was it.
Or so he thought.
This story follows Lancen as he narrowly escapes death in the middle of a civil war, saved by an untimely dragon attack. Just when he thought that would be his wildest experience, he is soon tasked to save the world, as the dragon was the least of his problems. Along the way, he deals with ominous Deadric gods, centuries-old ruins, and a follower that may or may not tolerate his attraction to danger. Saving the world was more than he expected to deal with after leaving his homeland, but he is willing and ready to do whatever it takes.
(You do not need to know any of the past Elder Scrolls games to read this; imagine it's a new fantasy world, as I explain everything. Don't read if you don't like the tags.)
