The answer came in the form of another groan from the bedroom.
He was used to worrying about TK, it was part of his normality and every so often he would accept that he would get a call from the hospital because his boyfriend had hurt himself at work or something else.
So, although worried, but also calm, Carlos, left the things on the couch and went to the bedroom. Already as he approached, he saw TK's bundle, curled up on the bed, hugging his abdomen.
"TK, babe." He walked over, sat on the edge of the bed and rested his hand on his boyfriend's forehead. "Your fever's spiked."

Summary
The bad news was that TK knew his fiancé was right, throwing themselves out of a moving van was their best option. He approached the door and realized that these people didn't imagine they were crazy enough to risk their lives like that and they hadn't locked them up very securely.
In the end it was Carlos who, taking advantage of the continuous bumps and potholes in the road, kicked the doors of the van, both flying open. He approached the edge, they were going fast and there was a forest on one side of the road and a steep hill on the other.
TK walked over to it, his head still hurt, but right now that was the least of his problems.
"I guess it goes without saying that I've never done this jumping out of moving cars thing," TK said.
Carlos walked over to him, took his hand and kissed it. "It's not something they teach you to do at the academy either."

Owen brought Saddie to the loft, he was sure she was going to be safe with Carlos and TK.

When she decided to drug them, to take them away from her path, she was sure a small does will be enough to knock TK down, but she wasn't sure about Carlos, so she decided to be sure and prepared a bigger dose for him.
