Summary
The Iceberg Lounge was loud and bustling when you and the Riddler left. He was hoping to spark up a deal with Penguin but when he came stomping out of Oswald’s office you felt safe to say the deal fell through. The first couple minutes of the walk back to the base was tense and quiet, save for Eddie’s angry muttering. You could try to talk to the Riddler now, but that could go one of two ways. Having nothing else to take his anger out on, you would be the only target and that could end poorly for you. Or, he could talk and destress now and save you a ton of work in the future. What the hell, why not take a chance?

The pier was cold, as it always was. The wind had picked up and the wind chill wasn’t doing you any favors. You stood leaning against the car you drove here in, watching your surroundings intently for movement. So far everything was clear. Your attention turns to Riddler when you hear him let out an annoyed huff.
“You think Batman got ‘em?” Not that you really considered it an option, but you had to say something, the silence was killing you. Riddler scoffs.
“Unlikely.” he says with an unamused laugh. You glance at him. Two one word answers in a row. You’ll have to talk to him later perhaps, see what's bothering him. You open your mouth for more idle chatter when a black van pulls up and you quickly shut your mouth, snapping to attention.
