Summary
“San Lang,” Xie Lian laughs, surprised out of his panic. “Did you buy the whole store?”
“I have a second bag, too,” Hua Cheng says, grinning. “Don’t worry, I know what you eat.”
Xie Lian sits helplessly as his best friend digs through his comically large bag of comically restricted food. Against his will, holiday cheer begins to bubble in his chest.
He can indulge a little, can’t he? Hua Cheng seems to genuinely be having fun.
Xie Lian thought he’d be alone for Christmas. Hua Cheng proves him wrong. And with gentle care and persistence, he finally begins to break through Xie Lian’s belief that being disabled makes him less worthy of love.

Summary
When their lips meet, it feels natural, as if their bodies already know each other. Hua Cheng makes a broken-off, involuntary sound, twining fingers into his beloved’s hair.
For what feels like centuries, he’s waited, hand outstretched to guide Xie Lian from the darkness in his own mind that convinces him he’s unworthy of love. Hua Cheng has never grown tired, never wavered - but now, with the dam broken, he can’t help but clutch Xie Lian close, whispering a thank you into his mouth.
“For what?” Xie Lian whispers back, but then he captures Hua Cheng’s lips again, and the question goes unanswered for some time.
Xie Lian chooses to step into the unknown, and Hua Cheng is there to catch him.
(A little epilogue to the first fic in this series. I thought they deserved a little more comfort.)
