Notes:

In Visual Prison canon, there are references to there being different kinds of feeding: to join a group and share songs, for turning a human, or as we see in the first episode with Jack and Saga, for no reason in particular. There is also the pretty blatant inference that Ange definitely was feeling some type of way when Guil fed on him to join OZ that he did not experience with Eve or Robin (and the manga version of VP clarifies this even more).

For this and all the stories in this series, I will be exploring Ange and Guil’s relationship as it evolved during and after “Miracle”. I had these scenes in mind when writing the original story, but for various reasons, was hesitant to include them. The fics in this series will all have the “No Smut” tag as there will be no smut in the usual sense. Instead, I am using an approach inspired somewhat by Anne Rice’s works, along with the canon inference of the deeper physical connection between Guil and Ange as maker and brethren, in which feeding replaces sexual intercourse for vampires. The stories will also have some clarifications via Ange and Guil’s conversations about things that were mostly inferred in the main story. The first fic in this series begins the morning after the events at the end of chapter 8 of "Miracle", when Ange is now 22.

In closing: If Guil/Ange is not your cup of tea, I have no issues with anyone who declines to read. The same can be said of the absence of conventional smut. But I have found the concept of two beings who are not human and half-human/eventually not human sharing an unconventional means of intimacy which is normal for their species very interesting to write, and for those who choose to read, I hope you do as well.
