Summary
Not all missions go as planned. Tony Stark knows this, but it doesn't exactly prepare him for having to face the chance of losing something important to him.
There's not a lot of descriptive language in here, but blood mention and like, you know, maybe don't do what Tony does when someone's coughing up blood, but Tony's a genius, he's not smart.

Summary
Bucky's POV on the events during Bad Timing, Perfect Shot. Because I'm extra and had to write both of their sides.
Warning for blood, for description of pain and injury. And warning for repeat dialogs from the other story. It is literally the same situation, but from Bucky's eyes.

Summary
Set in modern times, James Buchanan Barnes comes home from a tour after being held captive and losing his arm. He now has to learn how to live with his loss, and figure out just what happened at the enemy camp to leave him feeling the way he is. Is he imagining things, or did they truly mess him up?
This is an alternate universe origin story, not just for Bucky, but for Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, and Peter Parker. This story is set in Bucky's point of view, so we don't get full details of some of the other bits, but we learn things at the same time Bucky does.
Serious warnings for for flashback scenes, trauma responses, violence of many kinds, and cruelty. Also, language. From almost everyone.
This is written in snippets and set largely in introspective language. Through Bucky's eyes.

- Part 3 of Take a Shot Every Time They Get Shot
- Part 1 of Always Bucky Through Time
- Part 8 of WinterIron

Summary
It isn't nothing," he says quietly. "It's a big fucking deal. I got shot. That's scary. I was scared, Sam. Standin' there holding that guy while cops swarmed the place and I couldn't see straight? There was so much blood and I got so dizzy and when they took him from me, I didn't have anything holding me on my feet anymore. No reason to stay upright. I remember feeling my stomach in my throat and seeing stars and, you know what, Sammy?"
Sam looks at him, expression asking the question his mouth won't form. He's shaking slightly and Bucky tightens his grip on his shoulders.
"All I could think about was how you were supposed to be coming home any day now and I wasn't gonna be home to make dinner for you," Bucky finishes, and his throat tightens. He blinks back tears, because it's so much more than that. He had been in a near panic when he felt his strength leave him at that store. He thought he'd never open his eyes again, and all he could think about was Sam.
