Anwen Trevelyan is my main, canon Inquisitor. She's slightly divergent from the canon Trevelyan Inquisitor because I wanted to make her a more compelling character for me, personally, to write about.

Born into a noble Ostwick family, her magic manifested late (around 13). Having overheard her parents discussing sending her to a circle, she decided to run away from home rather than be sent. She travelled through the Free Marches, always moving, until she settled in Tantervale for a time. After several years in Tantervale, she was caught by Templars and sent to the Circle where she lived, miserably, for several years.

When the Circles revolted, Anwen became a very active member of the mage rebellion, although not in a "let's burn all the Chantries!" kind of way. She worked with mages and non-mages to help protect defenceless mages (such as the many child apprentices) from the civil war, smuggling them north or persuading Dalish clans to take elven children.

She joined the Inquisition with several friends from the underground because she wanted to make a more profound difference.
