Summary
Spencer has no fucking idea how to start this conversation, actually. He’d kind of rather just crawl over to that other bed and pull Ryan into his lap, despite how damp he still is, and tell him he’ll make it go away if he wants. He will, too, he’ll so do that. He’ll do anything Ryan wants about this. Anything at all. Ryan should know that.
This time, though, Ryan isn’t just saying something along the lines of ‘make this go away for me,’ and Spencer’s not really sure what to make of that.
***
Two times Ryan and Spencer deal with Ryan getting knocked up. The play out very differently.

Summary
Still, though. Still. Spencer has been hinting, and he’s been hinting, and they’ve both been dancing around the word soon long enough that he thinks he’ll probably be able to come around pretty quickly if that becomes now.
He doesn’t really know if he wants these to be positive or negative, actually, now that he thinks about it.
Fuck it, he thinks, uncapping all the tests as he stands up. Fuck it, he has to get this shit out of the way. He dips the ends of all three tests in the cup he pissed in one by one, puts the caps back on, and stares.

Summary
He brings it up for the first time, like with many such sensitive subjects, after sex, when the refractory period on his brain to mouth filter proves too short for him to either fall asleep or get up before it kicks back in. Shit, he hasn’t even taken his dick off yet before he’s saying a cautious “hey, Ryan?” and pulling him in by the waist.
“Hmm?”
“You’re kind of the girl in this relationship.”

Summary
“You are so attractive,” Spencer tells him, entirely sincerely.
Ryan closes his eyes, breathes hard through his nose, and says “I'm gonna throw up.”
AKA
Four times Ryan really should have realized how absolutely, completely infatuated Spencer is with the way he’s taking to being a parent.

Summary
“There’s this thing where, like, if you don’t acknowledge that something is a possibility, but you act like it’s true, anyway, you don’t really have to, like… it can be real and not real all at once. Schrodinger’s truth. I did it with my sexuality for a long time, you know? You can know something is true and just never let on and it never has to be, but, like, some things are just, true, and Schrodinger’s cat starts meowing, and-” Ryan sighs, staring up at the ceiling. “This metaphor sucks. I’m losing my touch.”

Summary
Ryan is absolutely starving, and rushes to the kitchen as soon as Spencer announces that dinner is ready. It’s nothing fancy, just spaghetti and some garlic bread, but he’s so hungry. He tries, a bit uselessly, not to hope that that’s a symptom. He’s really not sure what would be worse at this point: losing hope or desperately holding onto it for longer. He takes a bite while he’s still standing in the kitchen, hums in satisfaction, and kisses Spencer on the cheek before he’s even done chewing. Spencer glares playfully as he wipes sauce off of his cheek.
“You’re so good at making this,” he says, holding a hand over his mouth as he talks with his mouth full. “Tastes just like your moms.”
“That’s probably because they’re both based on sauce from a jar,” Spencer says, rolling his eyes, as he grabs the girl's servings and brings them to the table.
