Summary
Still, though. Still. Spencer has been hinting, and he’s been hinting, and they’ve both been dancing around the word soon long enough that he thinks he’ll probably be able to come around pretty quickly if that becomes now.
He doesn’t really know if he wants these to be positive or negative, actually, now that he thinks about it.
Fuck it, he thinks, uncapping all the tests as he stands up. Fuck it, he has to get this shit out of the way. He dips the ends of all three tests in the cup he pissed in one by one, puts the caps back on, and stares.
***
Sometimes big life events line up in unfortunate ways.

Ryan closes his eyes, breathes hard through his nose, and says “I'm gonna throw up.”

Summary
Ryan is absolutely starving, and rushes to the kitchen as soon as Spencer announces that dinner is ready. It’s nothing fancy, just spaghetti and some garlic bread, but he’s so hungry. He tries, a bit uselessly, not to hope that that’s a symptom. He’s really not sure what would be worse at this point: losing hope or desperately holding onto it for longer. He takes a bite while he’s still standing in the kitchen, hums in satisfaction, and kisses Spencer on the cheek before he’s even done chewing. Spencer glares playfully as he wipes sauce off of his cheek.
“You’re so good at making this,” he says, holding a hand over his mouth as he talks with his mouth full. “Tastes just like your moms.”
“That’s probably because they’re both based on sauce from a jar,” Spencer says, rolling his eyes, as he grabs the girl's servings and brings them to the table.

This is about growing, in pretty much every way.
