Summary
Bruce had framed it as a favor ("Would you mind picking Damian up from school and then running an errand at the bank?"), but Jack recognized it for what it was: a test.
It had been about two years since anyone had seen the Joker and almost as long since "Jack" had exhibited any violent behavior (resisting temptation admirably, if he did say so himself!). Still, Jack couldn't think of another time when he had been left alone with Damian for a long period of time or given responsibility for anything very important. It was just a bank transaction, though. He could do this!
But then Harley Quinn walked into the bank, announced a robbery, and Jack's "test" got a lot harder . . .

This is a sequel to "two weeks until the music stops" and takes place three years after the alternate ending. Bruce has managed to keep Jack's past as the Joker a secret and Jack has managed to resist the temptation of falling back into his old patterns (for now, at least . . . )
