Light woke to the delightful sensation of soft feathers and smooth leather, taking a moment to nuzzle his face into the coolness. So much better than the off-putting warmth his pillowcase always took on. Maybe being late to school twice in one week wasn’t so bad. An exchange in perfect school attendance for a perfect sleeping arrangement.

Light is woken up at 3am every single night by his frustratingly warm pillow case, having to flip it over to the cool side to go back to sleep. Fortunately he discovers Ryuk makes the perfect pillow, with a side dish of cuddles added in for free. Canon compliant.Series

Why does Light move in with Misa during the timegap instead of finding new eyes? It's the easiest way to have both the shinigami eyes AND Ryuk (Light's favorite pillow). Light is determined to have his cake and eat it, too. (intended to be canon compliant, "behind the scenes")
