This must have been the wrong move though, as Nathaniel leaned forward, his dull eyes boring uncomfortably as he spoke, “It’s your anniversary tomorrow, if I recall correctly. What is it, nine years since the first one?”
“Ten.”
At this, Nathaniel grinned, and Peter wondered if the room hadn’t just gotten colder. “Ah, a big one then! Anything nice planned?”
If his first questions had been threats, this one was most certainly a trap.
