He paid for access to forbidden knowledge with his innocence and purity. But now he was stronger for it.
Strong enough to fight his own urges.
Except if it meant creating more suffering for the beast that trapped him here, forevermore bound as prey under a predator’s watchful eyes.

Summary
Desire is a tricky thing. Ciel doesn't seem to understand what he wants.
Perhaps his demon understands for him. Perhaps not.
Though he certainly understands his own desire for his master just fine. If only he had the chance to act on it, but he's on such a short leash.

Summary
Sleep still cannot find the Earl of Phantomhive. Whether it be due to nightmares or .... other things... the reason why the poor boy cannot rest easy remains unknown to him.
A curious poem strikes the lord's restless mind but he cannot fully comprehend its meaning. His butler, of course, does his best to explain the intricacies of an obscure ancient god using Victorian sensibilities but even he too, begins to wonder if he truly understands.
