AUTHOR’S NOTE: This story is a product of its time; I might have made different character choices if I were writing it today. And even though certain characters have come and gone or plot points otherwise changed the storyline since I originally wrote in this, I decided to keep it for the most part as originally written.
Additionally I'm not even sure there's any interest in this story anymore but I'm mostly posting it for archival purposes, in case any OG fans come looking for it. : D
NOTE 2: Originally posted chapter by chapter. At a later date I posted two fill-in chapters: "Samantha" and "Loki"--in this version I've inserted them into the story where they would have taken place in the timeline. Hopefully that's not too confusing. : )
