That can’t be true. Fang Duobing has proved himself as a capable friend time and time again to Li Lianhua. He’s always there, he cares about Li Lianhua’s safety and his well-being, and although they have butted heads before, the older still seem to want Fang Duobing by his side. It’s one of the reasons he doesn’t understand A-Fei’s sudden appearance and the distance between Li Lianhua and him that seemed to grow the same night A-Fei appeared.

The pup’s breath hitches, the tears previously brought on by anger now cling to his eyes for a new reason, and as Di Feisheng leans back he looks directly into big brown eyes, "He doesn't see you nor your attention, but I do. I can give you what he can't. What he won't."
Stroking his thumb slowly over the boy's cheek, he wipes away at the unshed treats, breathes against the boy's lips, "Will you accept it, little pup?"
