Summary
"Hey, Alhaitham," Kaveh greeted as he entered their home, his voice laced with anticipation. "I got something for you."
Kaveh presented the bouquet of flowers, a genuine smile gracing his lips. "I thought you might like these. They're so beautiful, just like you."
Alhaitham took the bouquet, his expression unreadable as he studied the flowers for a moment.
"Flowers? Really? You know I'm not into all this sentimental stuff, Kaveh."
Kaveh's heart sank once more.
"I just thought they might brighten up our apartment, that's all."
Alhaitham gave a small nod of acknowledgment but didn't seem particularly impressed. He went about his evening, paying the flowers little mind.
