When night hit, when the sun set, sometimes, Cady would see her in the corner of her room, sitting on an old armchair.
She knew she was hallucinating. She knew that this Regina wasn’t hers. Even so, Cady would still indulge in the little comfort she allowed herself to have by watching the silhouette in her room.
(Or, Regina died after getting hit by the bus and is now a ghost haunting Cady. Cady’s not handling her death well, and thinks that she’s hallucinating.)

Regina had wanted to live, to explore the world after high school, to have fun, make friends, and maybe after she graduated, when she moved far, far away from anyone she knew, pursue a romance that was true to her heart. And now, she was dead, stuck in an endless cycle of watching Cady slowly drive herself into a state of miserable depression.
