Summary
Before he can take more than a slow step away, the wolf’s teeth snap out, catching on the leg of his pants. They don’t get any skin, and the careful way they’re holding their head feels very intentional. Alejandro squeaks, which would be embarrassing if he weren’t certain that this is not normal behavior for a werewolf and a completely appropriate time to squeak.
The wolf seems to find this amusing, and yanks a little harder. Alejandro loses his footing trying not to lose his leg and collapses onto the wolf’s side. For a moment, he thinks: this is it. I am about to be one of those horror stories that you see on the news. Conservative anti-shifter groups are going to print posters with my face on them.

Pride warms Johnny from the inside out, soothing away any remaining tension in his body. Simon feels safe, Simon feels like he’s established a territory here, and Johnny helped. It’s a bizarre sort of satisfaction, but he squeezes Simon’s wrist anyway, feeling deeply pleased with himself.
“Alright, thanks so much for letting me know,” he tells her. “I’ll talk to you soon?”
“Well, you should probably know that he might feel the urge to–”
Johnny sighs, interrupting her again. “Sarah, you just told me that my very attractive husband wants very badly to give me what will probably be a wonderful round of sex. I will talk to you later.”

Summary
The primal, wolf part of his brain is howling with victory over finally having his mate in his arms. He has no plans of dropping that bomb anytime soon, but even a single night with Soap is enough. However long this lasts will have to be enough, and he’ll carry it with him for as long as he can. Even if they stay in touch, Soap will figure out the bizarre, wolfy claim that Ghost feels echoing in his mind every time they’re in the same room and go running for the hills.

Summary
Plus, there’s something enticing about this. Gaz is fully relaxed, his back rising and falling with his steady breathing. He seems so at ease, so comfortable here in this life that they’ve built, and it makes Price’s heart clench with gratitude. It’s so damn hard for people like them to feel safe enough anywhere to be this vulnerable, and he’d be a rotten liar if he said something about that level of trust doesn’t do it for him.

Normally, Soap doesn’t get to keep people this long. He’s started to think of the 141 as his: his people, his family. It’s not how it typically goes. More often, people let him use them for what he needs, and they part ways amicably enough. Some of them want more, want him, but they never actually want to know him. They just want another orgasm at the hands of an incubus.
He had learned his lesson the hard way: don’t feed off people you care about.
