As a child, his mother has always warned him against romantic love — “You’ll lose everything, otherwise,” she often repeated until the moment of her death, leaving the only son all alone. So, he grows up thinking she’s right, that it’s all just a pain in the ass. And then, Konrad now has other things to do, for example enlisting as a soldier alongside his childhood friends after the fall of Shiganshina — to protect Eren, Armin and Mikasa. To choose by himself the place and the time of his own death. So to not lose everything Konrad holds dear.
However, who would have thought. Life works mysteriously.

Reiner Braun and Konrad Vanderwood both broke up with their respective lovers the same day, New Year’s Eve. Konrad just wants to move on, singing away all his pain alongside his band at a New Year’s Day party, meanwhile Reiner is forced to go there because of his dearest friends. Little did the two know, they’d meet again and past feelings would bloom again, even if just for a night… Or maybe not?
