Summary
"Izzy?” he called, “Are you in here?”
Silence. Then, a muffled cough. Lucius was now significantly more worried than annoyed. He followed the sound behind Stede’s fancy curtain, where he found Izzy tucked in a corner on the floor, in sort of a half committed fetal position. His back was facing Lucius, but he must have heard him coming, because he spat out a comparatively weak “fuck off.”
“Are you okay?” Lucius asked anyway, not completely sure why he cared.

When a storm hits the Revenge, Izzy needs help, and for some reason, Lucius is eager to provide it.

Summary
~~~~~
“Izzy.” The voice on the other side of the door is so soft that it revives his nausea. The soft one. The nice one. The new fucking first mate. “We’re all worried about you, man. It’s been two days and you haven’t eaten anything. We all know you don’t have food in there. Just… lots and lots of alcohol.” Izzy tries to say something. He tries to spit another order or tell Frenchie to fuck off again, but it’s like his throat has closed. He can barely breathe, let alone shout. “So, uh. I was hanging out with Roach in the kitchen and I brought some of his cooking for you. Can I come in?”
Summary
~~~~~~~
Edward won’t leave, won't stop shifting and wringing his hands. Izzy can hear it, but he keeps his gaze fixed firmly on the horizon. He doesn’t want to see his captain’s guilty eyes. Then, Ed comes up beside him and becomes significantly harder to ignore.Izzy can hear him take a slow breath in and let it out. Probably something a crew member taught him. “Did I do that?” he mumbles.
Izzy barely hears him, and when he does, he wants to laugh. He doesn’t need to look at Edward to know that he’s asking about Izzy’s leg. As if the lunatic doesn’t remember. But then, that isn’t fair, is it? He knows how Ed’s memory gets, and his system of rationalizing things. Izzy’s spent the last few days telling himself that he was attacked by a shark. They both remember things the way they want to, the way they have to, to get by.
Izzy’s throat feels thick and full of cotton. Nevertheless, he chokes out a quiet little, “Yes.”
~~~~~~~~~~Through the haze of old memories and new betrayals, Izzy and Edward start to clear the air between them.
