"What he felt for Satoru was built on years of trust and friendship. At least, that was what Suguru told himself at night when he longed for the embrace of someone while trying (and failing) to sleep. That was what he told himself when Satoru held his hair up and rubbed calming circles on his back as he sat sick in front of a toilet after having to swallow an especially rancid curse. That was what he told himself when Satoru so carefully cleaned and dressed his wounds when Shoko wasn’t available after a particularly bad fight, not teasing him or commenting on his pained cries. That’s what he told others when they asked why his curses were so friendly to Satoru, why they were so protective of Suguru and hostile to anyone but the two of them."
Satoru, Suguru, and Shoko climb onto the roof of Jujutsu Tech to hang out. When Shoko leaves, late-night talks and self-discoveries ensue.
